PETALUMA, CA (September 22, 2016): TRG-AMR welcomed four drivers to the team’s home race at Sonoma raceway during this weekend’s Pirelli World Challenge. Jason Alexandridis, Derek DeBoer, George Kurtz and Greg Milzcik competed in two GTS class races with their Aston Martin V8 Vantage cars, while nearly two hundred partners, drivers’ friends and family, and VIP guests cheered them on from a spectacular hilltop viewing area.
DeBoer and Alexandridis each drove one race in the No. 09 LaSalle/BRM Chronographes/Rebounderz Rohnert Park/Racing for Cancer/Pirata Della Strada/Simon Ward Aston Martin, while Kurtz, in the No. 04 Crowdstrike car, and Milzcik, in the No.77 Wolfwood Refuge/That Newfoundland Place entry, competed in both Saturday and Sunday’s rounds. All of the drivers put forth the maximum effort, as the cars’ performance was challenged by the series’ BoP adjustments made just before the race weekend. In true TRG fashion, the crew quickly made strategic calls to adjust the vehicle setup, and the drivers focused on driving a safe race to see the cars through to the checkered flag. They executed just that, with DeBoer scoring a Top 10 Result plus earning the Optima Batteries Best Start award for overtaking four cars at the start, and the VP Racing Fuels Hard Charger for picking up six positions overall.

All of the drivers raced in front of one of the biggest supporter groups of anyone in the Pirelli World Challenge series at Sonoma. Guests from team partners LaSalle Solutions, Crowdstrike, RingCentral, plus drivers’ friends and family gathered in a private hospitality tent atop Turn 3, which provided a spectacular view past the race track and over the wine country and San Pablo Bay. There, in the LaSalle Solutions/Crowdstrike tent, all guests were invited to enjoy Adobe Road Wines, Lagunitas beer, Hint water, and mingle with friends and new business connections while supporting the TRG-AMR drivers. BRM Chronographes displayed a set of high-end motorsport watches for guests to see and to try on. The beautiful weather and clear skies provided the perfect environment to this weekend at the races.

On Saturday evening, TRG hosted its annual party at the company’s headquarters in nearby Petaluma. This very unique venue is opened to series officials, team principals, drivers, friends and family for just one night during the Sonoma race weekend. This year’s theme was simply called “Sonoma Wine Country:” a nod to the team’s sister company, Adobe Road Wines, which has just opened its new tasting room in downtown Petaluma. Once invitees entered the TRG race shop, they were greeted by a row of racecars and wine barrels, with Adobe Road winemaker Garrett Martin sharing the latest tastings from this Napa/Sonoma producer. Through an old French door just behind the Aston Martin racecars is a “secret” tasting room, complete with a fully-stocked boutique wine bar where guests enjoyed additional varietals. The team wishes to thank everyone who took the time to visit their headquarters and share in the camaraderie.

The next Pirelli World Challenge race weekend at Laguna Seca is the final event of the season. The team has a full roster lined up: George Kurtz, Kenton Koch, Jason Alexandridis, Derek DeBoer, Brandon Davis, Greg Milzcik, Max Riddle and Kris Wilson will drive for TRG-AMR.
