TRG USING OFF-SEASON TO PREPARE FOR DAYTONA ASSAULT
Petaluma, CA —Not known for slowing down or taking time off, Kevin Buckler and the entire TRG organization won’t be telling you their stories of Hawaiian vacations or overseas getaways, but rather off-season tales of pushing harder than ever with bigger dreams of conquering the Rolex series yet again and delivering for their drivers.
Headed in to the upcoming Rolex 24 at Daytona on January 30th and 31st, TRG will not only be the defending champions of the prestigious event, but looking for their sixth straight podium, and their eighth in nine years! As three-time winners of the event, including once overall despite being in the GT class, Daytona has always had a special place in the hearts of the team.
“Daytona has always been a special place for the guys and myself,” stated Team Owner Kevin Buckler. “We first visited the track nearly 15 years ago, and I’ll never forget walking in and just being in awe of the place. It was always our ultimate goal to try and conquer the race, so 15 years later to have won it three times and stood on the podium for eight of them, it’s a really special accomplishment.”
Known for successfully running comprehensive multiple car programs, not to mention premier hospitality and attention to professional preparation and presentation, TRG is synonymous for catering to the top drivers, teams and sponsors for the famed race.
For Buckler, the ability to successfully work with a number of initiatives is all part of the program. “Obviously our results speak for themselves at Daytona, but one of the things we always wanted to make clear is that we’re capable of putting together a comprehensive program for newcomers as well as top level professionals. On the track, our professional drivers, engineers, and data acquisition provide unparalleled access to tools and information that someone new to the race will really benefit from. Off the track, our hospitality and marketing staff always have guest entertainment and attention to sponsors at the forefront of their minds, and we make sure that everyone under our tent has a great time.”
Headed in to the full Rolex GT season in 2010, TRG is looking to add another team championship under their belt. With a number of surprise announcements for the season coming, the team is anxious to get the ball rolling. “We’ve been hard at it to try and line up some really big announcements for next year,” stated Buckler. “Beyond Daytona, we’ve got a program for the season that will create a new level of performance and be really attractive to drivers, partners and sponsors. I’m really looking forward to what could be our best year ever.”
