TRG in Search of Point Lead in Birmingham
Petaluma, CA (April 4, 2011)- Headed in to the third round of the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series a mere three points away from the lead, TRG heads to this weekend’s Porsche 250 in search of strong results for the no. 67 Sargent & Lundy Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car.
Still on a high from taking victory at this year’s Rolex 24 at Daytona, drivers Steve Bertheau and Spencer Pumpelly will continue their strong partnership together at the challenging Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama, a 2.3 mile, 17-turn track known for it’s constant series of turns combined with sweeping elevation changes.
The duo, who have taken two victories together in GRAND-AM competition, currently sit a mere two points out of the championship lead, and head to a track that could be well suited to TRG’s ability to call incredible race strategy and capitalize on unique opportunities as the race unfolds.
