Petaluma, CA (July 7th, 2015) After a strong driving performance in the IMSA TUDOR United SportsCar Championship race at Watkins Glen last weekend, TRG-AMR is pleased to announce that GTLM reigning champion Kuno Wittmer will be joining TRG-AMR as Christina Nielsen’s co-driver in the Vantage Aston Martin GT3 #007 for the balance of the 2015 season. Kuno will serve in a variety of roles with the team including coaching, data, and driver development and is looking forward to a solid finish to the season in the #007 car.

Wittmer’s credentials are impressive as both a 2014 IMSA TUDOR GTLM champion and 2015 Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona winner. Wittmer, a Dodge factory driver for over the past five years, also brings valuable experience as a driving coach to TRG-AMR’s driver development program.

“James Davison has done a great job representing the team since first coming on board in 2013, however with his increased schedule demands and focus on other opportunities it made sense to part ways. With the very tight competition in GTD TUDOR United SportsCar Championship, and our increased sponsor commitments, we needed to make sure that our focus is on achieving our team, driver, sponsor, and manufacturer goals for the balance of 2015 season and beyond. We look forward to Kuno’s contributions and the impact he is going to have on this team going forward, both as a driver and brand ambassador,” said Kevin Buckler, team owner.

“I am excited to join TRG-AMR and return to the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship. Being paired with a talented driver like Christina Nielsen is a great opportunity and I look forward to building a close working relationship with her, the team, and our sponsors,” stated Wittmer.
