Alton, VA (August 22nd, 2014) On a weekend of epic proportions for TRG-AMR, Max Riddle and Kris Wilson have brought home the second GS-Class victory of 2014 for TRG-AMR this weekend, marking the fourth podium finish of the year for the Petaluma-based squad. Wilson outlasted and outdrove Robin Liddell by only three tenths of a second, making it one of the closest finishes this year in Continental Tire SportsCar Championship racing. Riddle started the race from the green flag and put in a clean stint until Wilson took control of the 07 Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4 about midway through the 2.5 hour enduro. From there it was a matter of keeping it clean and quick, something Wilson is known for.

Max Riddle, TRG-AMR Team Driver, CTSCC GS: “Road America was a bit disappointing for a number of reason – we had gearbox issues early on and then the GTD car got taken out in practice. Even though I wasn’t driving in GTD, it’s still crushing to see a team car taken out like that. Today was a huge day of redemption – first the GTD car took the pole after the last minute rebuild effort, and Kris and I took the victory in our race. What a day! I’m looking forward to COTA later next month.”

Kris Wilson, TRG-AMR Team Driver, CTSCC GS: “What a day! After watching the amazing pile-to-pole effort by the GTD team, I was ready to make sure we did our absolute best to win this race. Max put in an amazing first stint – quick, clean, smooth driving – and I was able to take it home on. What a solid car. The tires were starting to fade a bit as

the race wore on between Robin (Liddell) and I, but that Aston stayed true. Thanks to Robin for the fun and clean racing, thanks to our GS team for giving us such a great car, and thanks to Max for handing the car over in good condition and position. But the real applause goes to the TRG-AMR GTD boys – what an effort. This team knows how to operate. See you at COTA!”

Kevin Buckler, CEO, TRG-AMR North America: “What an amazing day – I’m so proud of the entire team right now. We’ve got six cars running at Sonoma in Pirelli World Challenge while the IMSA/Conti team is back East at VIR just dominating! The effort from the team in getting the GTD car put back together was nothing short of Herculean. Then Max and Kris come put this drive together and score a win – what a pair. Such great driving, teamwork, and success from the TRG-AMR camp today. We’re really happy with everything and are looking forward to the GTD race at VIR tomorrow, as well as the World Challenge GT and GTS races tomorrow afternoon. A big thanks goes to all the crew for their hard work this weekend, but I’m especially proud of this win by Max and Kris in GS today – great job, guys! On to COTA we go.”
