Summary:
TRG (The Racers Group) seeks an energetic, ambitious Graphic Design/Communications Design student who will support the in-house creative team with required marketing efforts for the racing team. This designer will create a variety of projects including development of graphic elements, business proposals, and related marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, digital and print advertising. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and taking the initiative to learn new skills and techniques when needed.
Major Focus:
This position is focused on providing support with design of marketing materials for the Sales & Marketing Department, under the lead of the Creative Department.
Essential Job Functions:
- Improve brand awareness with a focus on building a lasting emotional connection with fans, sponsors, media, customers and racecar drivers
- Focus on TRG’s brand marketing campaigns with external parties and all internal media including print, event, digital, social, and e-mail to ensure consistency in message and brand imagery
- Brand integrations and usage by sponsors, partners, drivers, and clients
- Provide support to Business Development, Marketing, and Creative departments on brand positioning of TRG to develop compelling sales materials
- Partner with other internal departments including Communications, Event Operations, Sales, Hospitality, and Racing Operations to promote consistency and sanctity of TRG brand attributes and positioning
- Work closely with the Marketing & Business Development departments to fulfill their needs
- Participate and assist with additional duties as assigned by the Creative Director
Minimum Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will be a self-starting, and creative marketing and professional with significant relevant experience
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Visual/Graphic Design, UX Design, Product Design, or a related field
- Proficiency with design and presentation software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Powerpoint, etc.)
- Detail oriented, self-motivated and focused on delivering results via execution and continuous improvement with a sense of urgency
- Knowledge of practices and principles of integrated packages multimedia assets
- Proven success in a collaborative, team based work environment
- Working knowledge of all major media types, including print, web, mobile, social database and digital video
- Knowledge of current trends in design, video, social media platforms
