The Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 will be driven by David Block, Al Carter, and James Davison. The team has officially entered the TUDOR United Sports Car Championship GTD class with two full season “Platinum” entries. PETALUMA, CA – November 22− After spending the past week in Florida conducting the preseason winter testing, TRG-AMR North America comes away from Sebring and Daytona with a high level of confidence and valuable information. The TUDOR United Sports Car Championship “Balance of Performance” tests allowed for all of the 2014 teams to test their cars and work toward a common 2014 rules package. BRASELTON, GA (October 17, 2013) – TRG-AMR North America today announced the launch and schedule for the Aston Martin GT4 Challenge Series of North America.  In addition, it announced Pirelli as the Official Tire partner of the new series.  TRG-AMR, the exclusive partner with Aston Martin Racing in North America, made the announcement at Road Atlanta where it will begin the 2014 season for the new Challenge Series.  Road Atlanta is hosting Petit Le Mans this weekend, the finale for the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron. (PETALUMA, CA – September 30)  The final race of the season in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge occurred at Lime Rock Park in the beautiful fall foliage of Connecticut.  For TRG-AMR North America, the race was a wild roller coaster ride.  That ride ended with a well-deserved fourth place for the team and drivers Damien Faulkner and James Davison. The weekend was a learning curve for both Irishman Faulkner and Australian Davison. Faulkner had one race behind the wheel of the Royal Purple/Adobe Road Winery Vantage GT4, while Davison had never raced any Aston Martins.  The drivers and team worked through a practice and short qualifying session that delivered a ninth place grip position.  The team worked hard overnight to improve the car and hoped for the best come race day. (PETALUMA, CA – September 16) TRG-AMR North America driver Mark Klenin recently took his Aston Martin Vantage GT4 to Miller Motorsports Park to compete in the ST2 class of the NASA National Championship.  After a week of practice, qualifying, and heat races Klenin posted a tremendous third overall in the final Championship race. The Colorado based Klenin came to Miller with a car that had not been raced in the ST2 class prior to this event.  Therefore, Klenin spent the early part of the week getting the Vantage GT4 up to pace in a class that was filled with Corvettes who have competed all year to the ST2 class specs. Monterey, CA (September 7) – Brandon Davis put the No. 7 TRG-AMR Aston Martin North America Vantage GT4 on the pole for Sunday’s Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca turning a 1:36.362 lap, better than his next challenger by a full .15 seconds.  Davis, who won in the GT4 two weeks ago at the Pirelli World Challenge race at Sonoma Raceway laid his lap down his third full time around the track. “The Continental tires seemed to be best on the third lap, and I was fortunate to get a good one,” said Davis, who lives in Napa Valley.  “The crew did a great job preparing the car especially considering that we have not had a lot of track time this year.   I owe a lot ...

The Brandon Davis No. 27 Barracuda Networks / ACS Vantage GT4 took its first North American victory in a hard fought GTS race at Sonoma Raceway in Round 13 of the Pirelli World Challenge championship. TRG-AMR North America debuted two new team drivers for the ninth and tenth rounds of the Pirelli World Challenge this weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Drivers Mark Klenin and Drew Regitz were still getting settled into their Aston Martin Vantage GT4’s, but looked like they’d been driving them all season, with Regitz taking top 10’s in both races. The result made it a top 10 in every Pirelli World Challenge weekend that TRG-AMR has competed in this season and one about which the team couldn’t be more pleased. Both Klenin and Regitz practiced and qualified well, 11th and eighth respectively, which was especially impressive considering it was their first official weekend running in their newly-purchased Vantage GT4’s. It’s a good week for TRG-AMR North America.  The California-based sports car team signed two new drivers for the Pirelli World Challenge for the balance of the season. PWC drivers Mark Klenin and Drew Regitz join the team for the remainder of the PWC season in a pair of newly purchased TRG-AMR Aston Martin Vantage GT4 race cars. The pair had been running BMWs this season, but made the move to Aston Martin full-time moving forward. Despite having never driven the Vantage GT4 and registering only four prior laps at Lime Rock Park, Klenin decided to jump in with both feet and start the Saturday race of the Lime Rock Grand Prix in the new Aston. Fans will probably hear it before they see it. The incredible V12 in the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 has arrived at TRG-AMR North American headquarters, and its sound-and looks-are unrivaled. This past weekend at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut, the TRG-AMR North America team made a return to the Pirelli World Challenge for its second and third races in the Vantage GT4. Ben Keating, who was pulling double-duty in the American Le Mans Series as well, got behind the wheel of the Aston for only the second time. Impressively, it was his first time at Lime Rock, and he still managed to put the car in the top ten for both World Challenge races. At Lime Rock this weekend, TRG-AMR will enter its second Pirelli World Challenge race after a stellar showing at its debut in Long Beach. The team will bring its No. 66 Port Lavaca Auto Group/Viper Exchange Vantage GT4 to the short course in Connecticut after testing there the previous week. In their debut, the team made what owner Kevin Buckler called a “perfect start” to their World Challenge campaign. Both cars finished in the top ten, with Damien Faulkner winning the “Hard Charger” award for moving up the most positions during the race. We’re nearing the mid-season mark and a lot of people are asking, “So how’s that new Aston program going with you guys?”   In a word: FANTASTIC!   We realized going in that this was going to be a transition year as we put all the varying elements in place to take full advantage of the launch of the United SportsCar Racing series in 2014. I want to assure everyone that we WILL be ready. We have been flat out. The Aston Martin brand is a real head-turner, the race cars are extremely competitive and this program is massive. TRG-AMR North America made a big statement in their debut in the Pirelli World Challenge today at Long Beach. Both Aston Martin Vantage GT4s showed fantastic speed, perfect reliability and drove up through the field in a solid display of racing excellence.
