For TRG-Aston Martin Racing North America, the 11 days of the New York International Auto Show were just the beginning. Positioned at one of the show’s premier locations, TRG-AMR’s three-car armada consisting of two Vantage GT4s and a Vantage GT3, easily became the most photographed race cars at the annual mega-show which saw more than a million people visit the Javits Center. Multimatic Motorsports is running not one, but four Aston Martin Vantage GT4s in the race this weekend, and after qualifying they’re all sitting pretty on the grid. On May 3rd, Monticello, the premier luxury automotive lifestyle resort and track, will play host to the next TRG-AMR North America Driving Day. When you walk into the New York Auto Show in a little over a week, right there in the main hall of the Crystal Palace will be the TRG-AMR North America booth, complete with the Vantage GT3 and two GT4s. First and foremost, the team was shocked to see some of the incredible creativity of the fans. There were some truly “outside the box” designs that looked fantastic on the Aston Martin Vantage GT3. The TRG-AMR Facebook page received nearly 200 entries, making the decision extremely difficult for team owner Kevin Buckler, Managing Director John Gaw, and factory driver Darren Turner. In the end, a design submitted by Lukas Johnson of Minnesota won out. Clean, elegant, and accentuating the lines of the car nicely, the blue and black look great on the car. Newly pro drivers Doug Bielefeld and Klaus Viljanmaa took to Circuit of the Americas for the first time this past weekend. Not only that, but it was their first time in the Aston Martin Vantage GT4, taking on the rest of the GS Class in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. Round Two of the Grand-Am support series took place at the brand-new facility in Austin, TX on a gorgeous weekend. The drivers got up to speed quickly with the professional competition during practice sessions, and by the time the race rolled around, they were hanging tough with some of the best drivers in North America. TRG-AMR North America is asking fans to submit their creations for a paint scheme on its Aston Martin Vantage GT3 in the Rolex Grand-Am Series. TRG-AMR has two concepts approved but is looking for fans to submit ideas for a third livery design through their Facebook page.
